On the outskirts of a mysterious town during a full moon, howls fill the night air! 🌕 Taking a break from his trading duties in Townseek, Capt. Jawline has taken a side-gig as a scoutmaster, bringing the werewolf pack with him for a camping trip! And what better time to travel the spooky woods than during Whaloween night? 🐺
Celebrating the Halloween season, we’ve once again put together an artwork celebrating the occasion! This time, we wanted to focus a bit more on the uniqueness of Townseek and its characters. Jawline has pretty much been the mascot of the game since its beginning, and it’s always fun to see a sharkdweller take on other jobs!

Last year, we were inspired by the themes from La Reposada as the base for our artwork! South of it lies another town deep in the woods that we haven’t revealed yet. We don’t really want to spoil any more towns before release, but using it as a theme was too good to pass up! 🦇 What kind of town is it? You’ll have to wait for the full release to see! 🔍
Speaking of full release news, as we’ve mentioned during our gamescom announcement, the game is running a bit behind. We’ve been working non-stop across the year on a lot of content and improvements to Townseek. More specifically, we’ve been putting a lot of effort into expanding our narrative and the story of our game! While Townseek was envisioned as a very open-world game early on, we believe a full story will really help tie the game together. 🦈
We’re really looking forward to starting sharing more of the game with you again soon! And to make it easier to catch up, we‘ve updated our Links page with changes to our social roster! Social media has been in a bit of hot water recently, with many changes on how teams like us get the word out about their indie games. As such and wanting to help build better social media going forward, we’re introducing our new Bluesky account! 🦋
Like in previous years, we’re always very proud of our Whaloween artwork! Admittedly, our seasonal artworks aren’t always our most popular pieces. But as a team, they’re some of the work we enjoy putting together the most! Whether you’re a new reader or a returning regular, we recommend taking a trip down memory lane with our spooky parties at La Reposada, mermaids making a splash, or mummies rising from their graves! 💀
